This firmware demo implements a USB composite HID and Mass Storage Device (MSD) using the board microSD card, with the LCD displaying the details. The Decaf-1 hardware limits the USB transfer rate to Full Speed (12Mbps) which is quite adequate for the HID command communications.

The device is identified as "PiXCL SD Flash Disk USB Device" hardware. The Device Manager lists the following five devices:
When first plugged in, Windows identifies it as a composite device, and loads the necessary device drivers. This can take several minutes, esspecially if you don't disable the "Search the Web" for drivers option. Thereafter, Windows loads the proper drivers in seconds from cached information.
