Product Description
The Decaf IOC-2xe consists of the 72MHz Cortex-M3 mpu board with the digital and analog I/O as follows:
Digital Inputs (16) are used to sense the state of binary devices such as push buttons, limit switches, relays and logic levels. Inputs are active L.
Digital Outputs (16) can be used to drive low current LEDs (e.g. indicators), solid state relays and anything that accepts a 0-3V3 CMOS signal. Outputs are active H.
Analog Inputs (8) are used to measure 0-5Vdc continuous signals generated by sensors for temperature, humidity, gas pressure, light level or position.
External devices can be connected with additional circuits via:
SPI 4-wire ports (SPI1, SPI2).
8-bit Databus with 3v3, Gnd, ReadWrite and ChipSelect pins.
All Decaf boards include a Real Time Clock that can be set and queried by your apps. An RGB LED can be used to indicate operational status by colour (Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow or White).
This board is intended for systems that require access/control of many digital I/O peripheral devices. A good example is management of model railway points and signals. Position of trains and status of points can be read, set and displayed on an LCD e.g. a Decaf IOC-370, or on a host PC screen.
