ESPRESSObin Ubuntu build PC

Last Update: Sep 6, 2021 @ 15:42

This page is in development.

Setting up the ESPRESSObin board (Versions 4, 5 and 7) requires a separate laptop or desktop linux PC with R/W SD card and internet access support.

We used a 2010-vintage Asus Aspire laptop with 2.2GHz Pentium dual core, 4GB ram and a 250GB SSD loaded with Ubuntu 20.04.

This laptop performs two main operations:

  1. Creating the bootable Ubuntu image on to the SD card; and
  2. Providing the development environment to rebuild the Ubuntu kernel with mPCIe SSD device support.

More to be added.
