Decaf boards not immediately recognised.

Post by admin » Tue Jul 07, 2015 6:28 pm

When any Decaf board is first connected to a Windows host, a process called enumeration occurs, where the device informs Windows of its capabilities and the class or driver it needs.

All Decaf boards are Human Interface Devices (HID) and Windows will eventually load the generic HID driver. This process may take 30-60 seconds, is completely normal, and only happens once. When a Decaf board is again connected, Windows uses stored information to immediately load the correct driver.
