All Decaf boards identify themselves as a USB Human Interface Device (HID), so Windows will automatically load the HID driver. Command support is built into the PiXCL 11 DLLs, and can be called by C/C++ applications. We will be releasing a Decaf device SDK in 2016 if there is enough demand..
The same applies to other operating systems i.e. linux, Mac, Android. When a Decaf device is plugged into the host system, the USB enumeration sequence informs the operating system that it is an HID, and the correct driver is made available. The PiXCL 11 Help also includes a topic that lists the HID command set used by all Decaf boards. We don't have direct software support at present, but if the demand is there we'll do it.
